YOLO Nepal founder trekking on the Poon Hill route
From my Poon Hill journey.

My story

I know the trails. I know Nepal beyond them.

I was born in a remote village in Gorkha that had no electricity or road transportation when I lived there; those services reached the area much more recently. I grew up in Chitwan and now live in Pennsylvania.

Chitwan is home territory for me, and I know Sauraha beyond a visitor’s checklist—from jungle experiences and rhinos to Tharu culture, dance and life around the Rapti.

I have completed five well-known Nepal routes, most recently the Manaslu Circuit in May 2026, and visited most of the Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO monument zones.

My family and personal relationships still extend across Nepal. Depending on where a traveler is going and what is appropriate, that local connection may help offer a more personal understanding of everyday Nepal.
