Rough itinerary
A flexible planning outline.
This is a planning example—not a package or fixed schedule. The final pace should reflect acclimatization, access, weather, permits and the traveler.
Kathmandu to Lukla
Take a weather-dependent mountain flight, then begin toward Phakding.
Phakding to Namche
Cross suspension bridges, climb to Namche and acclimatize.
Tengboche to Dingboche
Pass the monastery and preserve another acclimatization day.
Lobuche, Gorak Shep and Base Camp
Follow the glacier corridor and visit Everest Base Camp.
Kala Patthar and descent
Choose the early viewpoint hike if conditions permit, then descend.
Return to Lukla
Retrace the Khumbu with sensible overnight stops.
Lukla to Kathmandu
Keep a weather buffer for the return flight.
Fit the trek to the person.
Consider altitude experience, walking fitness, available days, season, comfort expectations and contingency time. Verify current requirements and local conditions before travel.
