Journey start

Kathmandu to Lukla

Take a weather-dependent mountain flight, then begin toward Phakding.

Trek days 2–3

Phakding to Namche

Cross suspension bridges, climb to Namche and acclimatize.

Trek days 4–6

Tengboche to Dingboche

Pass the monastery and preserve another acclimatization day.

Trek days 7–8

Lobuche, Gorak Shep and Base Camp

Follow the glacier corridor and visit Everest Base Camp.

Trek day 9

Kala Patthar and descent

Choose the early viewpoint hike if conditions permit, then descend.

Trek days 10–12

Return to Lukla

Retrace the Khumbu with sensible overnight stops.

Journey finish

Lukla to Kathmandu

Keep a weather buffer for the return flight.

Fit the trek to the person.

Consider altitude experience, walking fitness, available days, season, comfort expectations and contingency time. Verify current requirements and local conditions before travel.
