Rough itinerary
A flexible planning outline.
This is a planning example—not a package or fixed schedule. The final pace should reflect acclimatization, access, weather, permits and the traveler.
Kathmandu to the trailhead
Travel by road from Kathmandu toward Machha Khola or Jagat. The exact trekking start point can vary with road conditions and the chosen itinerary.
Budhi Gandaki valley to Namrung
Progress through Jagat and Deng as vegetation and culture change.
Reach and acclimatize in Samagaun
Arrive beneath Manaslu and preserve an acclimatization day.
Samdo and the pass approach
Move higher cautiously according to conditions.
Cross Larkya La
Complete a long, high, weather-dependent crossing toward Bhimtang.
Bhimtang to Dharapani
Descend through forest and reconnect with the Annapurna corridor.
Return to Kathmandu
Travel by road with contingency time for access and delays.
Fit the trek to the person.
Consider altitude experience, walking fitness, available days, season, comfort expectations and contingency time. Verify current requirements and local conditions before travel.
