Journey start

Kathmandu to Jomsom and Kagbeni

Travel through Pokhara to Jomsom, then reach the restricted-area gateway.

Trek days 1–4

Kagbeni to Ghami

Progress through Chele and high, wind-shaped villages.

Trek days 5–6

Tsarang to Lo Manthang

Approach the walled capital of the former Kingdom of Lo.

Trek days 7–8

Explore Lo Manthang

Allow time for monasteries, local history and nearby villages.

Trek days 9–13

Eastern return route

Return through a different landscape when conditions and itinerary permit.

Kagbeni and Jomsom to Kathmandu

Return through Pokhara with weather and transport buffers.
